I come from a family of 10 siblings and have been thought from birth how to take care, respect, and look after others.
This drive has remained to date my vision and hence the reason why I also joined Kiwanis in 1989. With 29 years of Kiwanis experience occupying all the positions in Kiwanis, receiving numerous recognitions and distinctions I still humbly remain the same person caring for others. Position is just a title and thus has little meaning in my curriculum.
My vision is building leaders and that is what we need in Kiwanis, “LEADERS”
“Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he/she wants to do it.
I would like to work diligently to engage and motivate members so they learn, read, think critically, create, collaborate, and ultimately become life-long learners and leaders which I know is not an easy task.
Leadership involves motivation, empowerment, genuine concern and commitment for the growth of Kiwanis in general.
This vision and purpose must be driven through a mission by establishing mutual respect, trust, and a safe environment for all to lead by example.
As your leader I would motivate you by communicating and modeling enthusiasm, commitment, integrity, flexibility, and innovation for the future growth of Kiwanis.
Leadership is about forging relationships and perpetuating communication centered on and around a common vision, of goals and values
I’ve gained throughout my years as a Kiwanian and particularly as I pursue my task as GE, the drive that have led me to value the importance of encouraging and empowering leadership in others.
