STAMFORD KIWANIS DONATE TO LIBRARY

The club recently donated six packages of the series Phonics for Kevin by Lesley Barber of Cambridge to the Niagara Falls Public Library.

The donation is part of the club's continued support under its Young Children’s Priority One program.

A purpose is to aid in improving Canada’s illiteracy problem by providing workshops and books to the children under 6 years of age at local Day Care Centers and Niagara Falls libraries. This event was a continuation of previous presentations of books to all Day Care Centres not only in Niagara Falls but throughout the Niagara Region in conjunction with our sister clubs.

These latest donations will serve as a valuable resource within the library program as well as been made available to those parents that wish to assist their children in this area. The books will also be distributed to the satellite Niagara Falls libraries.
