Kiwanis EC&C Privacy Policy
Kiwanis will maintain such privacy policies and safeguards for its Web sites and subsidiary Web services as are necessary to protect members and guests from unsolicited commercial e-mail, telemarketing, harassment, obscenity, libel, slander, etc. Registered users of member-only services within the Kiwanis-family Web sites are solely responsible for their use of those services and shall indemnify Kiwanis from legal actions arising from such use. Acceptance of a privacy policy and terms of use at time of registration will serve as acceptance by the member of this responsibility and the more specific requirements therein.
We respect your right to privacy and we do not share your e-mail address with any organization outside the Kiwanis family. If you wish to stop your e-mail alerts and subscription, we respectfully will honor your request. Please e-mail your preference to

Information you provide during registration is not outsourced or used for any advertising by Kiwanis Family Member Community. If you believe someone is sending you advertisements as a result of the information you provided through your registration, please notify us immediately No personal information is automatically collected from users of the Kiwanis International or Kiwanis-family sites. However, certain non-personal information is recorded by the standard operation of the Internet server and/or Internet service provider. Information recorded may include the type of browser being used, your domain name, or time spent browsing the site.
Personally identifiable information that may be collected from forms you voluntarily fill out may be retained by Kiwanis and is not transferred to third parties. The site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of user information under our control. All forms that collect information from you use SSL (security sockets layer) to provide privacy for the data flowing between your browser and Kiwanis International or Kiwanis-family sites.
To comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not collect information from children under the age of 13. You must be 13 or older to submit your story and/or photographs. Further, if you are age 18 or younger, you must have the permission of your parent or guardian to complete your submission.
We will also respect the wishes of any donor who wishes to remain anonymous.
Guidelines for Kiwanis-family Web Sites
These guidelines are instituted by the Kiwanis International Board to be maintained and updated by Kiwanis International Staff. The Kiwanis-family Web site guidelines (the Guidelines from here on) are intended to illuminate policies governing the operation of the Kiwanis-family Web sites and all Web sites linked to or from those sites. The Guidelines also provide specific rules governing Kiwanis-family club Web sites.
Kiwanis International maintains the official Kiwanis-family Web sites as a service to Kiwanis-family clubs and interested guests. The Kiwanis-family Web sites include and are not limited to: Kiwanis International, Kiwanis International Foundation, Circle K International, Key Club International, Builders Club, K-Kids, Aktion Club, Kiwanis Junior, and the Kiwanis International Office. “Kiwanis-family club” refers to any member, club, division or district of the above-mentioned organizations and “Kiwanis-family club Web sites” refers to Web sites administered by those entities and not Kiwanis International.
INTERNET SAFETY GUIDELINES
Kiwanis International hopes that all site visitors use the Internet wisely. Please follow these safety guidelines:
- Keep your passwords private.
- Use only your login name and/or e-mail address when chatting or sending e-mail. Never give out personal information like name, address or phone number.
- Delete unknown e-mail attachments without opening them. They may contain destructive viruses.
- Remember that nothing you write on the Web is completely private – including e-mail, chat or forum posts, or blogs or blog comments.
