KIWANIS MOMENT

So many memorable moments stand out for me as a proud Kiwanian – my induction into the Kiwanis Club of the First City, being President of my club within two years of being a member, outstanding President of my Division, being presented with the Governor’s Ribbon and seeing the broad smile on the face of a teenager who was presented with a wheelchair.

My most special Kiwanis Moment must however be when I was introduced to Kiwanis and the then President of my Club Daphne Innerarity, a stranger, extended her arms of friendship in a loving, warm welcome embrace. It is a feeling that still overwhelms me. One that I try to extend to every person I meet. I am proud to be part of this wonderful group of volunteers.
