True story
Our Club received a request from a single mother for her one month old girl. She did not have any money to buy milk, diapers… and she did not even have money to buy grocery. I gave her two cheques: one for the drugstore and one for the grocer.
This lady is not wealthy. She does not have a car and it is not easy to go around with a stroller when there is a lot of snow. I decided to drive her to and from the grocery with my car because I wanted to make sure that she would buy healthy food for her and for her baby. I also wanted to be discreet and I took care of the baby while she was shopping. I am sure that she is grateful.
This has been a wonderful moment for me as a Kiwanian and as a human being.
